Trauma-informed family nutrition support in South Wales and the UK
Welcome to Cariad
Family Nutrition
Helping families, including care-experienced children, and the services working with them, to feel calm and confident about food.
Hello, I’m Beth, a Registered Nutritionist based in Bridgend, South Wales.
Lovely to meet you.
I help families make healthy eating simple and enjoyable when faced with real-life feeding challenges. While also working in partnership with organisations to create food and health solutions to help children, families and communities.
I started Cariad Family Nutrition after adopting my daughter. This opened my eyes in a whole new way to just how vital it is to have the right support when you're navigating parenting, feeding, and your own well-being.
With over 20 years working in the NHS and with children’s charities, I’ve seen what truly helps and what doesn’t. Now I’m here to walk alongside you, offering practical support that fits your priorities.
How I can help…
-
I help families navigate fussy eating with practical nutrition advice and emotional support, making mealtimes calmer and more nourishing for everyone.
-
Gain confidence in understanding your child’s food behaviours, make healthy changes that feel do-able, with support for meal planning, cooking and budget-friendly shopping all tailored to the unique needs of your family.
-
Worried your child isn’t eating enough, or is eating too much for healthy growth and development? I specialise in supporting children, parents, carers and organisations taking a whole family approach.
-
I work alongside communities to make healthy food more accessible and affordable, creating supportive food environments where families can thrive. Through tailored guidance and collaboration, I contribute to work to reduce food poverty, boost food literacy, and help childcare settings, schools, and organisations offer healthier options.
